From the Dona Maher Music Studio, we hope you are all healthy, safe, and relaxing as the sun is out and this “new normal” is still pretty crazy! As I move into my senior year of high school, I know how challenging virtual classes and schoolwork have been, but hard work pays off both educationally and musically. Many of you have been practicing and having virtual lessons with Dona, and we could not begin the Fall/Winter Semester without showcasing these beautiful pieces. So, below we have a collection of videos of students performing their planned Spring Recital pieces, as well as pieces they have learned throughout the summer. I know that it is not the same as gathering in the beautiful performance hall at the James, but we promise this music is just as beautiful through a screen. From the Dona Maher Studio, we hope the end of your summer is filled with relaxation and good music, starting with our virtual recital today!
